The 21st of May is the day when Finland’s most International floorball Cup, the Junior Challenge begins. This tournament is the peak of the season for A-G-juniors in Helsinki. A record breaking 40 teams from abroad are coming to the tournament. The majority of the teams are from Sweden and we are happy to announce that for the first time ever Norway is represented in Helsinki Junior Challenge. Welcome Tunet Innebandy and Team Salming! The tournament has been arranged since 2009. In seven years’ time the Junior Challenge has grown into the biggest junior floorball cup in the country. This year 258 teams from 60 different cities have registered. Arena Center’s chief event producer Joona Mitsui is pleased with the development of the tournament. -It’s amazing to see how floorball has developed in Finland over the years. Our tournament offers a chance for players of all ages and skill-levels to be part of and feel the atmosphere of a huge international sporting event. The latest addition for this year’s tournament is the G-juniors category. We wanted to make sure that even the smallest stick handlers could get their first experience of the event, said Mitsui.
