Tikkurilan Tiikerit joins with two teams in E02 boys category4/4/13 Tikkurilan Tiikerit Lämärit joins HJC with two teams. One in Elite category, one in challenge. They expect new opponents especially international teams. Trainer Marko Happonen tells us more about the team. Tikkurilan Tiikerit Lämärit translates into Tikkurila (district in Vantaa, Finland), Tiikerit (Tigers) Lämärit (Slapshot). The team consists of 26 players. Some have played floorball since kindergarden, some have just started. 26 players are divided into two teams (Black & White) based on developing as a floorballplayer. Tigers fall season met our expectations in league standings and we were ready for spring playoffs. At the end of March we were falling behind our objective but if we play our last games well, we can secure our spot in the season finale.
Helsinki Junior Challenge -tournament fits perfectly in our springtime calendar because of the location and timing. Opportunity to play in the tournament with teams in both categories is very positive. Based on Helsinki Floorball Cup which was played in January, we expect a well organized tournament and a chance to measure our level with high-class teams. Every opponent is more than welcome, but especially playing new teams would be interesting. In Helsinki Junior Challenge we are looking to improve our standings from January's Helsinki Floorball Cup.
