SB-Pro joins Junior Challenge with girl's F03 team3/4/13 SB-Pro girls team are looking for unforgettable experiences, and new opponents. Team Manager, Pasi Karvinen fills us in with thoughts on the team and Helsingi Junior Challenge. Our team consists of 8-10 year old girls, some with two seasons under the belt some with zero. Previously we practiced once a week, but now were practicing three times a week. It has payed of pretty well. The girls have 11 wins out of 13 games in the Southern-Finlands regional league. Considering that some of the girls are playing their first season, this is a very good result. So what makes this team so special? Arrogance and selfishness shines with absence, team spirit is high, and adapting training is important for a girls team with rookies on board. The challenge is to have these girls understand the basics of teamwork. Piece by piece this is starting to look like a team with a capital T. Helsinki Junior Challenge came a part of our plan when we wanted an event to finish the season thrillingly for the girls. This tournament is perfect since we don't have to travel. Our expectations are to have an unforgettable tournament for the girls, since some are participating in their first tournament. |
